James M. McGlone

Jim has been helping individuals and families plan for what matters most to them for more than three decades. He began his career in 1993 at Ameriprise Financial, where he was selected for its Advanced Advisor Group. In 2007 he co-founded KOM Wealth Management Group, where he serves as President and Chief Compliance Officer.

Jim works with clients on investment management, retirement, tax, and estate planning. He believes good advice comes from long-term relationships, so he takes time to understand each family’s goals and builds a plan they can stick with through changing markets and changing lives. He especially enjoys serving clients alongside the KOM team, which includes two of his children, Macy and Tucker.

He is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional and holds a Master of Science in Financial Services (MSFS) from The American College of Financial Services. He earned his Bachelor of Arts from Ripon College, where he concentrated in business administration, economics, and mathematics.

Jim and his wife, Amy, live in Greenville and have four children. The family enjoys camping, boating, downhill skiing, travel, and just about anything outdoors. Their favorite times, though, are celebrating birthdays and spending the holidays together with family and friends.
